Hearing the name aglione, our thoughts immediately go to a very large bulb of garlic. And indeed it is. In fact, while common garlic hardly weighs more than 40 grams, aglione can even weigh as much as 1 kg! The soils in which it is grown are as magnificent as they are limited: in fact, it is mainly found in the Val di Chiana, the territory that stretches between the provinces of Arezzo, Siena and Perugia.
Odor and flavor of aglione are light years away from the acrid, opaque ones of common garlic. In fact, it is much sweeter and more delicate on the palate; due to the absence of the alliin molecule responsible for bad breath, it has over time earned the pseudonym “kiss-proof garlic.“
Aglione flowers are very difficult to find, being normally cut and discarded as they prevent the bulb from growing while they remain on the plant.
Aglione flower Pesto represents the perfect combination of the delicacy of the flower, the savoriness of sun-dried tomatoes, the crunchiness of walnuts and almonds, and the tartness of vinegar. Its ideal use is in farro salads and croutons in aperitifs.

Aglione belongs to the same family as its cousins garlic and onion. Its beneficial properties include antibacterial and antioxidant. On the other hand, the numerous substances in it play a key role in keeping the intestines healthy. It is therefore also very digestible.

For our craft beers, which are unpasteurized and therefore more sensitive to high temperatures than normal, we use a special isothermal bubble wrap, which can ensure that the accumulated cold is maintained for the shipping time while protecting the bottles from shocks.
To secure the precious bottles of Italian wine, we have equipped ourselves with special inflatable bags, designed solely for the purpose of immobilizing and protecting this product inside the box.
