Enjoying the scents of basil even in winter
WE CHOSE IT BECAUSE
Oil and basil reflect the essence of being Italian

|Try it on fresh tomatoes|
Alfredo Cetrone’s basil oil should not be called “basil-flavored oil,” but rather Basil Flavored Aromatic Oil. The difference is notable in terms of quality: aromatized oil is nothing more than extra virgin olive oil to which more or less natural aromas of the essence you want to obtain are added; aromatic oil, on the other hand, is obtained from the simultaneous crushing of olives and the aroma you want to impart (in this case basil), with amazing results in terms of fragrance and flavor.
The olives of the Itrana cultivar that together with basil give rise to Alfredo Cetrone’s EVO Oil and Basil Condiment are grown at an altitude between 250 and 500 meters above sea level, on rocky soils constantly exposed to the sun and caressed by the sea breeze coming from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Basil is strictly used fresh and cold-pressed at the same time as the olives.
The olive harvest period is from October 1 to December 31, depending on the year and ripeness.
INGREDIENTS: Itrana cultivar olives, Lemon
The benefits that can be obtained from a very pure, high-quality Italian extra virgin olive oil are many: thanks to the high presence of polyphenols and oleocanthal, the main culprits responsible for that pungency and bitterness that made us fall in love with it, EVO oil has very high anti-inflammatory properties that make it a real natural medicine; the presence of almost exclusively monounsaturated fats allow EVO oil to go to reduce cholesterol, thanks to regular consumption over time; finally, Italian green gold has a considerable amount of vitamins, particularly group D, which are excellent for the heart, immune system and bones, and group E, called youth vitamins, thanks to their ability to act on cells by slowing the aging of skin, hair and the whole body.
If to the already incredible properties of extra virgin olive oil we also add the famous Italian basil pressed together with olives, the game is done: the aromatic plant par excellence, best known as the protagonist of pesto alla Genovese and pizza, manages to give the dishes on which it is used an inimitable and unmistakable essence that brings back the carefree Italian summers.
We receive your order, prepare it and ship it in 24/36 hours.
We are aware that excellent products need excellent packaging and at the same time we cannot risk damaging in any way the precious Italian culinary jewels: for this reason, our warehouse is equipped with temperature and lighting ideal for food preservation and the most delicate ones (cheeses, cold cuts and craft beers) are stored inside cold rooms. During shipping, on the other hand, each product is protected with the packaging most appropriate to its characteristics.
Cheeses and cured meats, which despite being aged require special care, travel accompanied by a special slow-release gel ice inside isothermal bags: in this way freshness is preserved until the goods arrive at your home.
For our craft beers, which are unpasteurized and therefore more sensitive to high temperatures than normal, we use a special isothermal bubble wrap, which can ensure that the accumulated cold is maintained for the shipping time while protecting the bottles from shocks.
To secure the precious bottles of Italian wine, we have equipped ourselves with special inflatable bags, designed solely for the purpose of immobilizing and protecting this product inside the box.
For jars containing a thousand Italian goodnesses, we use special protective bubble wrap liners.
