Legend has it that when Aeneas’ ship was about to depart from the coast of Latium, the sailors noticed tiny black fruits floating in the sea and, intrigued, tasted them: the bitterish, salty taste of the Itrana olive left them open-mouthed, so much so that they regretted having to leave a land capable of offering such delicacies.
The Itrana cultivar olives that give rise to Alfredo Cetrone’s Delicato EVO oil are grown at an altitude between 250 and 500 meters above sea level, on rocky soils constantly exposed to the sun and caressed by the sea breeze coming from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The harvest period is from October 1 to December 31, depending on the year and the ripeness of the olives.
To the eye it is clear, with a beautiful soft green color.
On the nose it offers complex and elegant, characterized by herbaceous notes with fruity hints of tomato, almond and banana.
The palate opens with elegant notes of tomato, almond, banana and balsamic herbs of sage and mint, with bitterness and spiciness present but in great balance closing in sweet almond.

In the kitchen it is ideal on marinated fish, spelt and legume salads, asparagus creams, vegetable risottos, grilled fish and white meats, salted sea bass, raw and grilled vegetables, fresh string cheese, strawberries with vanilla ice cream.

For our craft beers, which are unpasteurized and therefore more sensitive to high temperatures than normal, we use a special isothermal bubble wrap, which can ensure that the accumulated cold is maintained for the shipping time while protecting the bottles from shocks.
To secure the precious bottles of Italian wine, we have equipped ourselves with special inflatable bags, designed solely for the purpose of immobilizing and protecting this product inside the box.
