Veneto

“Magna e bevi che a vita xe un lampo.”
“Eat and drink that life is short.”

Between the sea and the mountains, Veneto has a thousand and more riches to show. The cities of Venice and Verona are among the most beautiful and romantic in Italy, Cortina d’Ampezzo is the chicest and most coveted destination for mountain lovers. The vineyards of the Veneto region are the stuff of legend, thanks to the beautiful Valpolicella where the famous Amarone della Valpolicella is produced, and the hills of Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of Prosecco.
An ancient home of merchants, since the time of the Venetian Republic in Veneto it has been possible to trace ingredients from all over the peninsula that arrived via trade. Veneto’s culinary tradition therefore ranges from baccalà, mantecato or alla vicentina, to sarde in saòr, to delicious homemade cheeses and cured meats and polenta, which for centuries fed peasant families.
